The boat is in and we are catching both salmon & Halibut. The weather could improve that’s for sure as the last week was not nice at all. Crabbing is great like always at this time of year. The run of salmon are not like the last few years running late this season, they are around but not in the huge numbers as last two years its more like 2009. I expect to see larger numbers showing over the next few weeks. I had some great days and some slow days over the last week, good days we saw 12 nice Chinook from 8 to 16 lbs in a couple of hours then the bad no fish in a couple of hours. Oh well that shit happens as long its me on the boat with out clients. I hope to keep this blogg up to date this season, we will see.
2011 season has started
Great Day
First Chinook Over 40
May 30 2010
Its nice to see the fishing that is taking place west of Camper Creek at this time. We limited out on Chinook from 15 to 33 lbs in two hours with lots of catch and releasing going on, all fish were hatchery, and great fighters. I will head west again this week and get a video of the action that can be found.
Great Fishing

Some fun halibut fishing out of Port Renfrew these days with John Wells and Hind Sight Fishing Charters.
These photos are of Bass Pro Al Patton catching halibut on a trout rod! Plus a few other assorted photos too.
Port Renfrew fishing report, April
Fishing in Port Renfrew at this time is great for crabbing as no one is out on the water fishing salmon.
